Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools:
    • Socket set
    • Wrench
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe, well-ventilated area.
2. Disconnect Battery
  • Use the socket set to remove the bolt securing the negative battery terminal.
  • Carefully pull the terminal away from the battery post to ensure it's completely disconnected.
3. Wait for Reset
  • Allow the vehicle to sit for at least 10 minutes to ensure all electronic systems fully power down.
4. Reconnect Battery
  • Place the negative battery terminal back onto the battery post.
  • Secure it with the bolt using the socket set, ensuring it is tight but not over-torqued.
5. Engine Idle and Test Drive
  • Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes, allowing the TCM to reset.
  • After idling, take the vehicle for a short test drive, varying speeds and conditions to allow the TCM to recalibrate its shifting patterns.
