Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: OBD-II scanner, socket set, and safety gloves.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in "Park" mode and the engine is off.
2. Disconnect Battery
  • Using a socket wrench, loosen the nut on the negative battery terminal.
  • Remove the negative cable from the terminal and secure it away from the battery to avoid accidental reconnection.
3. Wait for System Reset
  • Allow the vehicle systems to fully discharge for at least 10 minutes to ensure the TCM resets completely.
4. Reconnect Battery
  • Reattach the negative battery cable to the terminal, tightening the nut securely with a socket wrench.
  • Ensure there is no movement in the cable.
5. Ignition Cycle
  • Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position (do not start the engine).
  • Wait for approximately 10 seconds, then turn the ignition off.
  • Repeat this cycle 3 times to help the TCM relearn the vehicle's operating conditions.
6. Check for Codes
  • After completing the ignition cycles, use the OBD-II scanner to check for any remaining fault codes.
  • Clear any codes found to ensure the TCM is reset.
