Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the vehicle battery to ensure safety while working on electrical components.
  • Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, multimeter, socket set, flathead and Phillips screwdrivers.
2. Replace Cabin Air Filter
  1. Locate the cabin air filter compartment (usually behind the glove box).
  2. Remove the glove box by unscrewing the screws and detaching it from the hinges.
  3. Remove the old cabin air filter and replace it with a new one.
  4. Reattach the glove box in reverse order.
3. Check and Replace Blower Motor
  1. Access the blower motor by removing the necessary panels under the dashboard.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor.
  3. Use a multimeter to check for voltage at the blower motor connector while the climate control is on.
  4. If no voltage is detected, trace the wiring back to the climate control module for faults.
  5. If voltage is present, replace the blower motor by removing the retaining screws and installing a new unit.
  6. Reconnect all panels securely.
4. Recharge Refrigerant (If Applicable)
  1. Locate the low-pressure service port of the air conditioning system.
  2. Connect a refrigerant gauge set to the service port.
  3. Check the refrigerant levels and recharge if necessary according to manufacturer specifications.
  4. Disconnect the gauge set and ensure all caps are securely fastened.
5. Reset Climate Control Module
  1. Reconnect the vehicle battery.
  2. Use the OBD-II scanner to reset any fault codes related to the climate control system.
  3. Test the climate control system to ensure proper functionality.
