Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is cool.
  • Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for safety.
2. Clean the Throttle Body
  1. Remove the air intake duct to access the throttle body.
  2. Use throttle body cleaner and a soft cloth to clean the inside of the throttle body.
  3. Ensure the throttle plate moves freely and is not sticking.
  4. Reinstall the air intake duct securely.
3. Replace Fuel Filter
  1. Locate the fuel filter (typically near the fuel tank or along the fuel line).
  2. Relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and starting the engine until it stalls.
  3. Disconnect the fuel lines from the filter using a fuel line removal tool.
  4. Install the new fuel filter, ensuring the flow direction is correct as marked on the filter.
  5. Reconnect the fuel lines and replace the fuel pump fuse.
4. Replace Ignition Components
  1. Remove the ignition coil(s) by unscrewing the mounting bolts.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the ignition coils.
  3. Replace the spark plugs with new ones, ensuring the correct gap is set.
  4. Reinstall the ignition coils and reconnect the electrical connectors.
5. Inspect and Clean MAF Sensor
  1. Locate the MAF sensor in the air intake system.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the MAF sensor.
  3. Using MAF sensor cleaner, spray the sensor elements gently.
  4. Allow it to dry completely before reconnecting.
