Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts required for the repair.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and securely raise the vehicle using a jack and jack stands.
2. Replace Brake Rotors (if warped)
  1. Remove the wheel using a lug wrench.
  2. Detach the caliper by unbolting it from the bracket; support it with a bungee cord to avoid strain on the brake line.
  3. Remove the old brake rotor by unscrewing any retaining screws and sliding it off the hub.
  4. Clean the hub surface with a wire brush to ensure proper rotor seating.
  5. Install the new rotor, aligning it with the hub, and secure it with retaining screws (if applicable).
3. Replace Brake Pads (if worn)
  1. Remove the caliper bracket by unbolting it.
  2. Take out the old brake pads from the caliper bracket.
  3. Compress the caliper piston using a brake caliper tool to create space for the new pads.
  4. Install the new brake pads into the caliper bracket.
  5. Reattach the caliper over the new pads and secure it with bolts.
4. Reassemble and Test
  1. Reinstall the wheel and tighten lug nuts to the manufacturer’s specified torque.
  2. Lower the vehicle and pump the brake pedal to seat the pads.
  3. Test drive the vehicle to ensure the issue is resolved.
