Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: small Phillips screwdriver, multimeter, replacement battery (if needed).
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe location and all doors are closed.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  • Open the Key Fob:

    • Use a small Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws on the back of the fob.
    • Carefully pry apart the two halves of the fob without damaging it.
  • Replace the Battery:

    • Remove the old battery and note the orientation.
    • Insert the new battery (typically CR2032) in the same orientation as the previous one.
  • Reassemble the Key Fob:

    • Align the two halves of the fob and press them together until they click.
    • Reinsert and tighten any screws.
3. Reprogram the Key Fob
  • Access the Vehicle:

    • Sit in the driver’s seat with all doors closed.
  • Turn the Ignition:

    • Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position (do not start the engine).
  • Press the Lock Button:

    • Within 10 seconds, press the "Lock" button on the key fob for about 5 seconds.
  • Turn Off the Ignition:

    • Turn the key back to the "Off" position and remove it from the ignition.
  • Test the Key Fob:

    • Try using the key fob to lock/unlock the doors.
