Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, fuel line disconnect tool, OBD-II scanner, multimeter, safety goggles, gloves.
  • Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent electrical shorts.
  • Relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and starting the engine until it stalls.
2. Remove Engine Cover
  • Remove any fasteners securing the engine cover.
  • Gently lift the cover off and set it aside.
3. Disconnect Fuel Lines and Electrical Connectors
  • Use a fuel line disconnect tool to carefully detach the fuel lines from the fuel rail.
  • Disconnect the electrical connectors from each fuel injector by pressing the release tab and pulling them off.
4. Remove the Fuel Rail
  • Remove the bolts securing the fuel rail to the intake manifold using a socket wrench.
  • Carefully lift the fuel rail with the injectors still attached out of the intake manifold.
5. Replace Fuel Injectors
  • Gently pull the old injectors out of the fuel rail. Be careful not to damage the rail.
  • Apply a small amount of engine oil to the O-rings of the new injectors for easier installation.
  • Install the new injectors into the fuel rail, ensuring they are seated properly.
6. Reinstall Fuel Rail
  • Position the fuel rail back onto the intake manifold.
  • Tighten the securing bolts to the manufacturer’s specified torque settings.
  • Reconnect the fuel lines and electrical connectors to the respective injectors.
7. Reassemble and Test
  • Reinstall the engine cover and secure it with fasteners.
  • Reconnect the negative battery cable.
  • Reinstall the fuel pump fuse and turn the ignition to the "ON" position (without starting) to prime the fuel system.
  • Start the engine and check for leaks around the fuel rail and injectors.
