Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: small flathead screwdriver or coin, and a new CR2032 battery.
  • Ensure you are in a clean, dry workspace to prevent losing small parts.
2. Open the Key Fob
  1. Locate the seam of the key fob.
  2. Use a small flathead screwdriver or a coin to gently pry apart the two halves of the key fob. Start at one end and work your way around to avoid damaging the plastic.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  1. Once the fob is open, locate the battery compartment.
  2. Carefully lift out the old battery, noting its orientation (positive side up).
4. Install the New Battery
  1. Insert the new CR2032 battery into the compartment, ensuring the positive (+) side is facing up as per the original orientation.
  2. Press down gently to secure the battery in place.
