Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools and parts.
  • Park the vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working.
2. Raise the Vehicle
  • Use a hydraulic jack to lift the vehicle.
  • Secure it on jack stands to ensure stability.
  • Remove the wheel on the side where the strut is leaking.
3. Remove the Strut Assembly
  • Locate the strut mounting bolts at the top of the strut tower and bottom of the knuckle.
  • Use a socket set to remove the top bolts (usually accessible from the engine bay) and bottom bolts.
  • Carefully detach any brake lines or sensors attached to the strut assembly.
  • Once all connections are free, carefully pull the strut assembly out from its mounting position.
4. Replace the Strut
  • Install the new strut by sliding it into place.
  • Reattach the top mounting bolts and bottom knuckle bolts, ensuring they are tightened to the manufacturer's torque specifications (consult repair manual for specific torque values).
  • Reconnect any brake lines or sensors removed earlier.
5. Reassemble and Lower the Vehicle
  • Reinstall the wheel and lower the vehicle back to the ground.
  • Reconnect the battery.
  • Perform a final inspection to ensure all connections are secure.
