Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Jack and jack stands, lug wrench, socket set, torque wrench.
  • Safely lift the vehicle and secure it on jack stands.
2. Inspect and Replace CV Joints
  1. Remove Wheel:

    • Use the lug wrench to loosen and remove the wheel nuts.
    • Take off the wheel and set it aside.
  2. Inspect CV Joint:

    • Check the outer CV joint boot for tears or leaks.
    • If the boot is damaged, proceed to replace the CV joint.
  3. Remove CV Joint:

    • Disconnect the axle nut using the appropriate socket.
    • Use a slide hammer or pry bar to detach the CV joint from the hub.
    • Remove the CV axle from the transmission.
  4. Install New CV Joint:

    • Slide the new CV joint onto the axle, ensuring it is correctly seated.
    • Reinstall the CV axle into the transmission and secure it with the axle nut (torque to manufacturer specifications—usually around 180-200 Nm).
3. Inspect and Replace Suspension Components
  1. Check Ball Joints and Tie Rod Ends:

    • Look for any play in the ball joints and tie rod ends.
    • If any are found to be worn, remove and replace them as needed.
  2. Reassemble:

    • Reinstall the wheel and hand-tighten the lug nuts.
    • Lower the vehicle and torque the lug nuts to the specified value (typically around 110 Nm).
