Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the vehicle battery to avoid electrical shorts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface.
2. Replace Wiper Blades
  • Remove the old wiper blades:
    1. Lift the wiper arm away from the windshield.
    2. Press the release tab on the wiper blade connector and slide the blade off.
  • Install new wiper blades:
    1. Slide the new wiper blade onto the wiper arm until it clicks into place.
    2. Gently lower the wiper arm back onto the windshield.
3. Check/Replace Wiper Motor
  • Remove the wiper assembly:
    1. Unscrew the wiper arms using a socket set and lift them off.
    2. Remove the plastic cover from the base of the wiper assembly.
  • Disconnect the wiper motor:
    1. Unplug the wiring harness from the motor.
    2. Remove the mounting bolts securing the motor.
  • Install the new motor (if necessary):
    1. Position the new motor and secure it with bolts.
    2. Reconnect the wiring harness.
  • Reassemble the wiper assembly and test the operation.
4. Inspect/Repair Wiper Linkage
  • If the wipers still do not operate correctly:
    1. Inspect the wiper linkage for wear or disconnection.
    2. Replace any damaged components or reattach any dislocated parts.
