Solution
1. Preparation
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface with the engine off.
  • Disconnect the battery to avoid electrical shorts during repairs.
2. Inspect and Replace Spark Plugs
  • Remove the ignition coil cover using a socket set.
  • Disconnect the electrical connectors from each ignition coil.
  • Unscrew and remove the spark plugs using a spark plug socket.
  • Inspect spark plugs for signs of fouling or wear; replace if necessary.
  • Install new spark plugs with a torque specification of 13-15 lb-ft.
  • Reconnect the ignition coils and the cover.
3. Check and Replace Ignition Coils (if necessary)
  • If any ignition coils show damage or are misfiring, replace them.
  • Remove the faulty ignition coil by unscrewing it from the cylinder head.
  • Install the new ignition coil and reconnect the electrical connector.
4. Fuel System Inspection
  • Connect a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail.
  • Turn the ignition to the "ON" position (do not start the engine) to check fuel pressure.
  • If pressure is below specifications, check the fuel pump and fuel filter for clogs.
  • Replace the fuel filter if needed and consider replacing the fuel pump if it is faulty.
5. Reconnect Battery
  • Once repairs are completed, reconnect the battery and ensure all connections are secure.
