Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather Tools and Parts:
    • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, spark plug socket, extension bar, ratchet, anti-seize compound, dielectric grease.
    • Parts Required: New spark plugs (specific to the engine type).
2. Disconnect Battery
  • Safety precaution: Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to prevent any electrical short circuits.
3. Access the Spark Plugs
  • Remove Engine Cover:
    • If equipped, unscrew or unclip the engine cover to gain access to the spark plugs.
  • Remove Ignition Coils:
    • Disconnect the electrical connectors from the ignition coils.
    • Remove the bolts securing the ignition coils and gently pull them out.
4. Remove Old Spark Plugs
  • Use a Spark Plug Socket:
    • Insert the spark plug socket onto the first spark plug and turn counterclockwise to remove it.
    • Repeat for all spark plugs in the engine.
5. Install New Spark Plugs
  • Apply Anti-Seize Compound:
    • Lightly coat the threads of the new spark plugs with anti-seize compound to prevent seizing.
  • Insert New Spark Plugs:
    • Hand-tighten each new spark plug into the cylinder head, then use the torque wrench to tighten to the manufacturer’s specified torque (typically around 20-25 Nm, but check specifications).
6. Reinstall Ignition Coils
  • Place Ignition Coils Back:
    • Insert each ignition coil back into its respective position.
    • Reattach the bolts and connect the electrical connectors securely.
7. Reattach Battery and Engine Cover
  • Reconnect Battery:
    • Attach the negative terminal of the battery.
  • Replace Engine Cover:
    • Secure the engine cover back in place.
