Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required:
    • Flathead screwdriver or a trim tool
    • Clean cloth
  • Safety Warnings:
    • Ensure the vehicle is turned off before starting.
2. Remove the Glove Compartment
  • Open the glove compartment and remove all items inside.
  • Locate the damper arm on the right side of the glove compartment and carefully detach it.
  • Squeeze the sides of the glove compartment to release the stops and lower it fully to access the filter area.
3. Remove the Cabin Air Filter
  • Find the cabin air filter cover, typically secured with clips or screws.
  • Use a flathead screwdriver or trim tool to gently pry off the cover if it's clipped.
  • Once the cover is removed, pull out the old cabin air filter carefully, noting its orientation for installation of the new filter.
4. Install the New Cabin Air Filter
  • Take the new cabin air filter and ensure it is oriented in the same direction as the old filter (usually indicated by an airflow arrow).
  • Insert the new filter into the compartment until it is fully seated.
  • Reattach the filter cover, ensuring it clicks securely into place.
5. Reassemble the Glove Compartment
  • Raise the glove compartment back into position and squeeze the sides to lock it back into place.
  • Reattach the damper arm on the right side.
  • Close the glove compartment and replace all items removed earlier.
