Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, ratchet, extension, spark plug gap tool, dielectric grease, vacuum cleaner (optional for cleaning).
  • Ensure the engine is cool before starting work.
  • Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to avoid electric shock.
2. Remove Engine Cover
  • Unscrew any bolts or fasteners holding the engine cover in place using a socket set.
  • Carefully lift off the engine cover and set it aside.
3. Remove Ignition Coils
  • Identify the ignition coils; they are located on top of the spark plugs.
  • Disconnect the electrical connectors on each ignition coil by pressing the tab and pulling them out.
  • Unscrew the bolts securing the ignition coils using a socket set.
  • Pull out the ignition coils carefully to avoid damaging them.
4. Remove Old Spark Plugs
  • Use a spark plug socket and ratchet to unscrew the old spark plugs from the engine.
  • Carefully pull the spark plugs out, ensuring no debris falls into the combustion chamber.
5. Install New Spark Plugs
  • Check the gap on the new spark plugs using a feeler gauge; adjust if necessary to match manufacturer specifications.
  • Apply a small amount of dielectric grease to the threads of the new spark plugs to facilitate future removal.
  • Carefully thread the new spark plugs into the cylinder head by hand, then tighten with a torque wrench to the manufacturer’s specified torque setting (typically around 22-30 Nm).
6. Reinstall Ignition Coils
  • Place the ignition coils back over the new spark plugs.
  • Secure them with the bolts removed earlier and reconnect the electrical connectors until they click into place.
7. Replace Engine Cover
  • Position the engine cover back in place and secure it with the bolts.
8. Reconnect Battery
  • Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
