Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is off.
  • Wear safety glasses and gloves.
2. Lift the Vehicle
  • Use a hydraulic jack to lift the front or rear of the vehicle.
  • Secure the vehicle with jack stands before beginning work.
3. Remove Wheel
  • Use a lug wrench to remove the lug nuts and take off the wheel.
  • Repeat for the other side if both struts require replacement.
4. Remove Old Struts
  • Disconnect the sway bar link if applicable.
  • Remove the bolts securing the strut to the steering knuckle using a socket set.
  • Remove any bolts securing the strut to the upper strut mount in the engine compartment.
  • Carefully take out the strut assembly.
5. Install New Struts
  • Position the new strut in place and secure it to the upper strut mount.
  • Reattach the strut to the steering knuckle and secure it with bolts.
  • Reconnect the sway bar link if it was removed.
6. Reinstall Wheel
  • Place the wheel back onto the hub and hand-tighten the lug nuts.
  • Lower the vehicle back to the ground and torque the lug nuts to the manufacturer's specifications.
7. Final Check
  • Inspect the strut installation to ensure all bolts are tight and components are secure.
