Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts needed.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on electrical components.
  • Relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump relay and starting the engine until it stalls.
2. Remove Fuel Rail and Injectors
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, ratchet, and fuel line disconnect tool.
  • Remove the engine cover (if applicable) to access the fuel rail.
  • Disconnect the electrical connectors from the fuel injectors.
  • Remove any retaining bolts or clips securing the fuel rail.
  • Carefully pull the fuel rail away from the intake manifold, ensuring the injectors come out with the rail.
3. Inspect and Replace Injectors
  • Inspect the old injectors for wear or clogs. If any are damaged, replace them with new ones.
  • Apply a small amount of engine oil to the O-rings of the new injectors to facilitate installation.
  • Insert the new injectors into the fuel rail.
4. Reinstall Fuel Rail
  • Align the fuel rail with the intake manifold and carefully press the injectors into their ports.
  • Secure the fuel rail with the retaining bolts and torque to manufacturer specifications.
  • Reconnect the electrical connectors to the injectors.
5. Reconnect Fuel System
  • Reinstall the fuel pump relay.
  • Turn the ignition to the ON position without starting the engine to prime the fuel system and check for leaks at the injector connections.
  • If no leaks are detected, start the engine and observe its operation.
