Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Park the vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Disconnect the battery before working on electrical systems.
2. Clean Throttle Body
  • Tools Required: Throttle body cleaner, rags, socket set.
  • Remove the air intake duct from the throttle body.
  • Spray throttle body cleaner inside the throttle body while opening the throttle plate manually.
  • Wipe clean with a rag until free of carbon deposits.
  • Reinstall the air intake duct securely.
3. Check and Replace Transmission Fluid
  • Tools Required: Transmission fluid pump, socket set, fluid catch pan.
  • Locate the transmission fluid dipstick and remove it.
  • Check the fluid level and condition; if low or burnt, proceed to replace.
  • Insert a fluid pump into the transmission fill hole and add the manufacturer's recommended fluid until the level is correct.
  • Recheck the level with the dipstick and ensure it is within the acceptable range.
4. Test Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor
  • Tools Required: Multimeter.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the accelerator pedal position sensor.
  • Set the multimeter to measure voltage and connect it to the sensor terminals.
  • Depress the accelerator pedal slowly and monitor the voltage output; it should increase smoothly without drops.
  • If the output is erratic, replace the sensor.
5. Inspect Air Filter
  • Tools Required: None (if no special tools are needed).
  • Locate the air filter housing and open it.
  • Remove the air filter and inspect for dirt or blockages.
  • Replace with a new air filter if dirty or degraded.
