Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather required tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical short circuits.
2. Remove Engine Cover
  • Unscrew and remove the engine cover using a socket set.
  • Set the cover aside in a safe location.
3. Access Fuel Injectors
  • Remove the intake manifold (if necessary) following the service manual guidelines. This may involve:
    • Disconnecting vacuum hoses and electrical connectors.
    • Unscrewing bolts and gently lifting the manifold away.
4. Remove Fuel Injectors
  • Depressurize the fuel system by removing the fuel pump fuse and starting the engine until it stalls.
  • Disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel rail, using appropriate safety precautions for fuel spillage.
  • Unplug the electrical connectors from each fuel injector.
  • Remove the retaining clips and carefully pull out each fuel injector from the fuel rail.
5. Install New Fuel Injectors
  • Apply a small amount of engine oil to the O-rings of the new injectors to ensure a proper seal.
  • Insert the new fuel injectors into the fuel rail and secure them with retaining clips.
  • Reconnect the electrical connectors to each injector.
6. Reassemble Components
  • Reattach the fuel lines to the fuel rail, ensuring all connections are tight and leak-free.
  • Reinstall the intake manifold and any components that were removed.
  • Reattach the engine cover.
7. Final Checks
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
  • Start the engine and check for fuel leaks around the injectors and fuel rail.
