Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required:
    • Socket set
    • Multimeter
    • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
    • OBD-II scanner
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety.
2. Check and Replace Fuse
  • Locate the fuse box in the vehicle.
  • Remove the fuse related to the windshield wipers (check the diagram).
  • Inspect the fuse for continuity using a multimeter.
  • If blown, replace it with a fuse of the same amperage.
3. Inspect and Test Wiper Motor
  • Remove the wiper arms using a socket set.
  • Disconnect the wiper motor electrical connector.
  • Use a multimeter to test for power at the motor connector while activating the wipers.
  • If no power is detected, trace back to the control stalk and wiring for faults.
  • If power is present, apply direct voltage to the motor to check for operation. If the motor does not run, replace it.
4. Replace Wiper Blades (if necessary)
  • Lift the wiper arm away from the windshield.
  • Press the release tab on the wiper blade and slide it off the arm.
  • Attach a new wiper blade by sliding it onto the arm until it clicks into place.
  • Repeat for the other wiper blade.
5. Reassemble and Test
  • Reattach the wiper arms to their respective positions.
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
  • Test the wipers through all settings to ensure functionality.
