Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface.
  • Turn off the engine and allow it to cool before starting.
2. Check and Top Off Engine Oil
  • Tools Required: Oil funnel, clean rag, engine oil (as specified in the owner’s manual)
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Remove the dipstick from the engine and wipe it clean with a rag.
    2. Reinsert the dipstick fully and then remove it again to check the oil level.
    3. If the oil level is low, remove the oil fill cap and add oil using a funnel until the level reaches the "full" mark on the dipstick.
    4. Replace the oil fill cap securely.
3. Change Engine Oil and Filter (if necessary)
  • Tools Required: Socket set, oil filter wrench, oil drain pan, torque wrench
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Lift the vehicle safely using jack stands.
    2. Place an oil drain pan under the oil pan and remove the drain plug to drain old oil completely.
    3. Replace the drain plug and torque it to the manufacturer's specification.
    4. Use the oil filter wrench to remove the old oil filter. Lubricate the rubber seal on the new oil filter with a bit of new oil and install it by hand.
    5. Fill the engine with new oil using the specified type (refer to the owner's manual).
    6. Start the engine and let it run for a minute, then check for leaks around the oil filter and drain plug.
