Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Disconnect the battery if working on electronic suspension systems.
2. Lift the Vehicle
  • Use a jack to lift the vehicle and secure it with jack stands.
  • Remove the wheels for better access to the struts and shocks.
3. Remove Old Struts/Shocks
  • Front Struts:

    • Remove the top strut mount bolts from the engine bay.
    • Unscrew the lower strut bolts at the hub assembly.
    • Carefully pull the strut out of the vehicle.
  • Rear Shocks:

    • Remove the upper shock mount bolts from the trunk or cargo area.
    • Unscrew the lower shock bolts from the rear axle.
    • Pull the shock out from its mounting location.
4. Install New Struts/Shocks
  • Front Struts:

    • Position the new strut into place, aligning it with the lower hub assembly and securing it with bolts.
    • Reattach the top strut mount bolts in the engine bay.
  • Rear Shocks:

    • Insert the new shock into the mounting location.
    • Secure the lower shock bolts to the rear axle and the upper bolts in the trunk.
5. Reassemble Vehicle
  • Reinstall the wheels and lower the vehicle back to the ground.
  • Tighten all bolts to manufacturer specifications using a torque wrench.
