Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the work area is clean and well-lit.
  • Wear safety glasses to protect your eyes.

Tools Required:

  • Small flat-head screwdriver
  • Replacement CR2032 battery
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Locate the seam of the key fob where the two halves meet.
  • Insert the small flat-head screwdriver into the seam and gently twist to pry the fob open. Be careful not to damage the plastic.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Once the key fob is open, identify the battery compartment.
  • Carefully lift the old CR2032 battery out of its compartment, taking note of the battery's orientation (positive side up).
4. Install the New Battery
  • Insert the new CR2032 battery into the compartment, ensuring it is positioned correctly with the positive (+) side facing up.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob and press them together firmly until you hear a click, indicating that the fob is securely closed.
