Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: flathead screwdriver, small Phillips screwdriver, and replacement battery (CR2032).
  • Ensure you are in a clean, well-lit area to avoid losing small components.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Locate the seam along the edge of the key fob where the two halves meet.
  • Insert a flathead screwdriver gently into the seam and twist to pry the key fob open. Be careful not to damage the casing.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Once the fob is open, identify the battery compartment.
  • Use a small Phillips screwdriver to remove any screws securing the battery if applicable.
  • Note the orientation of the battery (positive side facing up or down) and gently lift it out using your fingers or a small tool.
4. Install the New Battery
  • Take the new CR2032 battery and insert it into the compartment in the same orientation as the old battery.
  • If screws were removed, replace them securely.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob and press them together until they click into place.
  • Ensure that the fob is securely closed without gaps.
