Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and materials.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical issues.
  • Allow the engine to cool down before starting the procedure.
2. Remove Engine Cover
  • Unscrew any fasteners securing the engine cover using a socket set.
  • Carefully lift off the engine cover to expose the throttle body.
3. Disconnect Throttle Body Connections
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the throttle body by pressing the release tab and pulling it off.
  • Detach any vacuum hoses or intake ducts connected to the throttle body, noting their locations for reinstallation.
4. Remove Throttle Body
  • Unscrew the throttle body mounting bolts using a socket set.
  • Carefully pull the throttle body away from the intake manifold. Be cautious of the gasket; it may need replacement.
5. Clean Throttle Body
  • Use a throttle body cleaner spray and a clean, lint-free cloth or a soft brush.
  • Spray the cleaner onto the throttle body's internal surfaces, especially around the throttle plate and bore.
  • Gently scrub away carbon deposits and dirt without damaging any components.
  • Wipe down the surfaces until clean, ensuring no cleaner residue remains.
6. Reinstall Throttle Body
  • Place a new gasket (if necessary) onto the intake manifold surface.
  • Position the throttle body over the intake manifold and align it with the bolt holes.
  • Hand-tighten the mounting bolts before using a torque wrench to tighten them to the manufacturer’s specified torque (usually around 7-10 Nm).
7. Reconnect Components
  • Reattach any vacuum hoses and the electrical connector to the throttle body, ensuring they are securely fastened.
  • Replace the engine cover and secure it with fasteners.
8. Reconnect Battery
  • Reconnect the battery terminals, ensuring a secure connection.
