Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools such as a clean rag or paper towel.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked safely with the engine off.
2. Locate the Power Steering Fluid Reservoir
  • Open the hood of the Volvo XC60.
  • Find the power steering fluid reservoir, typically located near the engine, often marked with a steering wheel icon.
3. Check Fluid Level
  • Remove the cap from the power steering fluid reservoir.
  • Wipe the dipstick or the inside of the cap with a clean rag to remove any residue.
  • Reinsert the cap without screwing it down to get an accurate reading.
  • Remove the cap again and check the fluid level against the markings on the reservoir. The fluid should be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks.
4. Add Fluid if Necessary
  • If the fluid is below the "MIN" mark, add the recommended power steering fluid (consult the owner's manual for specifications).
  • Use a funnel to prevent spills and add fluid slowly, checking the level frequently.
  • Once the appropriate level is reached, securely replace the cap on the reservoir.
