Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Flathead screwdriver (to open the key fob), new battery (typically CR2032), OBD-II scanner (if necessary).
  • Safety Warnings: Ensure the vehicle is in a safe environment and is turned off during the reprogramming process.
2. Replace the Key Fob Battery
  1. Use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing.

  1. Enter the vehicle and close all doors.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position without starting the engine.
  3. Press and hold the "Unlock" button on the key fob for approximately 10 seconds.
  4. While holding the "Unlock" button, press the "Lock" button three times, then release the "Unlock" button.
  5. Turn the ignition to the "Off" position and remove the key.
  6. Test the key fob by pressing the "Lock" and "Unlock" buttons to ensure it is functioning.
