Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety.
  • Tools Required: Screwdriver set, Multimeter, Wire strippers, Electrical tape.
2. Inspect and Replace the Fuse
  • Locate the fuse box, typically found under the dashboard or in the engine compartment.
  • Remove the cover and identify the power window fuse using the diagram on the fuse box cover.
  • Use a fuse puller or pliers to remove the fuse.
  • Inspect the fuse for continuity. If blown, replace it with a fuse of the same amperage (usually 20A).
  • Reinstall the fuse box cover and reconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Test Window Switches
  • Remove the door panel using a screwdriver to access the power window switches.
  • Disconnect the wiring harness from the switch.
  • Set your multimeter to the continuity setting and check each terminal in the switch for continuity while pressing the switch.
  • If there is no continuity, replace the switch with a new one.
4. Inspect Wiring and Connections
  • While the door panel is removed, visually inspect the wiring harness for any visible damage or corrosion.
  • Use a multimeter to test for continuity along the wires leading to the window motor.
  • Repair or replace any damaged wiring or connectors as needed.
5. Test and Replace Window Motor (if necessary)
  • If the switch and wiring are functional, check the window motor by applying direct voltage from the battery to the motor terminals.
  • If the motor does not operate, it will need to be replaced.
  • Remove the motor by unscrewing it from the window regulator assembly and disconnecting the electrical connector.
  • Install the new motor by reversing the removal process.
