Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is on a flat surface and the tires are cold for accurate pressure readings.
  • Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, tire pressure gauge, socket set, torque wrench.
2. Replace Faulty TPMS Sensors
  1. Remove Wheels:

    • Loosen lug nuts using a socket set.
    • Lift the vehicle with a jack and secure it with jack stands.
    • Remove the wheels to access the TPMS sensors.
  2. Remove TPMS Sensors:

    • Unscrew the TPMS sensor from the valve stem using a socket.
    • Disconnect the sensor from the valve stem carefully to avoid damage.
  3. Install New TPMS Sensors:

    • Attach the new TPMS sensor to the valve stem and secure it with the nut.
    • Ensure the sensor is properly seated and tightened to manufacturer specifications (usually around 4-5 Nm).
  4. Reinstall Wheels:

    • Place the wheel back on the hub and hand-tighten the lug nuts.
    • Lower the vehicle and use a torque wrench to tighten the lug nuts to the specified torque (usually around 100 Nm).
3. Reset TPMS
  1. Access TPMS Reset Function:

    • Turn the ignition to the "ON" position without starting the engine.
    • Use the onboard menu to navigate to the TPMS reset option.
  2. Perform the Reset:

    • Follow the prompts to reset the TPMS system.
    • Confirm that the reset has been accepted by the system.
