Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and materials.
  • Tools Required:
    • Flathead screwdriver
    • Torx screwdriver (T25)
    • New cabin air filter
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is off.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  1. Open the glove compartment and remove all contents.
  2. Locate the stop arm on the right side of the glove compartment and gently press it inwards to release it from its slot.
  3. Lower the glove compartment fully to expose the cabin air filter access cover.
3. Remove the Old Cabin Air Filter
  1. Locate the access cover for the cabin air filter; it is usually a plastic cover held by clips or screws.
  2. If secured with screws, use the Torx screwdriver to remove them. If clips, carefully unclip the cover.
  3. Pull the old cabin air filter out of its housing. Note the orientation of the filter for installation of the new one.
4. Install the New Cabin Air Filter
  1. Unbox the new cabin air filter and ensure it matches the one removed.
  2. Insert the new filter into the housing, ensuring it is oriented correctly (check for airflow direction arrows).
  3. Reattach the access cover, securing with clips or screws as necessary.
5. Reassemble the Glove Compartment
  1. Lift the glove compartment back into position.
  2. Reinsert the stop arm into its slot on the right side.
  3. Close the glove compartment and return all items to it.
