Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required:
    • Flathead screwdriver or trim removal tool
    • Clean cloth or vacuum cleaner for debris
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is turned off.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  1. Open the passenger side door and remove the glove compartment.

    • Use a flathead screwdriver to carefully pry off any retaining clips if necessary.
    • Lower the glove compartment gently and disconnect any attached dampers.
  2. Locate the cabin air filter cover.

    • It is usually found behind the glovebox, secured by clips or screws.
3. Remove the Old Filter
  1. Open the filter access cover.

    • Gently pull or unscrew the cover to reveal the filter.
  2. Remove the old cabin air filter.

    • Pull it straight out, taking care not to let any debris fall into the HVAC system.
4. Install the New Filter
  1. Take the new cabin air filter and orient it correctly based on the airflow direction marked on the filter.
  2. Insert the new filter into the compartment.
    • Ensure it fits snugly and securely in place.
5. Reassemble the Components
  1. Replace the cabin air filter cover.

    • Secure it with clips or screws as needed.
  2. Reinstall the glove compartment.

    • Attach any dampers and ensure it opens and closes smoothly.
