Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools:
    • Flathead screwdriver
    • Phillips screwdriver
    • Clean cloth or vacuum
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface with the ignition turned off.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  1. Open the glove compartment and remove any contents.
  2. Locate the stops on either side of the glove compartment and gently squeeze them to release the compartment from its hinges.
  3. Allow the glove compartment to drop down fully to access the filter cover.
3. Remove the Old Cabin Air Filter
  1. Locate the cabin air filter access panel, usually a rectangular cover at the back of the glove compartment.
  2. Use a flathead screwdriver or your fingers to gently pry off the cover.
  3. Pull out the old cabin air filter, noting its orientation for the installation of the new filter.
4. Install the New Cabin Air Filter
  1. Take the new cabin air filter and orient it according to the airflow direction indicated on the filter.
  2. Insert the new filter into the slot, ensuring it fits snugly.
  3. Reattach the access panel cover by pressing it back into place.
5. Reassemble the Glove Compartment
  1. Lift the glove compartment back into position and ensure the hinges align properly.
  2. Press the glove compartment stops back into their original position.
