Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: small flathead screwdriver, a replacement battery (usually CR2032), and a clean cloth.
  • Ensure you are working in a clean, well-lit environment.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Locate the seam of the key fob where the two halves meet.
  • Use a small flathead screwdriver to gently pry apart the key fob at the seam, starting from one end and working your way around.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Once the fob is open, locate the battery holder.
  • Carefully lift the old battery out of the holder, noting the orientation of the positive (+) and negative (-) sides.
4. Install the New Battery
  • Take the new battery (CR2032) and insert it into the battery holder in the same orientation as the old battery (positive side facing up).
  • Ensure it sits securely in place.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob and press them together until they click securely.
  • Check for any gaps to ensure it is fully closed.
6. Test the Key Fob
  • Press the buttons on the key fob to ensure it operates correctly.
  • Test the range by standing a few feet away from the vehicle.
