Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, stethoscope, fluid catch pan.
  • Park the vehicle on a flat surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical issues.
2. Drain the Power Steering Fluid
  • Place a fluid catch pan under the steering rack.
  • Locate the power steering fluid reservoir and remove the cap.
  • Disconnect the return line from the reservoir and let the fluid drain completely.
3. Remove the Steering Rack
  • Tools Required: Wrench set, socket set.
  • Disconnect any electrical connectors or sensors attached to the steering rack.
  • Remove the tie rod ends from the steering knuckles using a tie rod puller.
  • Unbolt the steering rack from its mounting points.
  • Carefully slide the steering rack out from the vehicle.
