Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts needed for the repair.
  • Disconnect the vehicle battery to ensure safety while working on electrical components.
2. Replace Faulty HVAC Control Module
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Locate the HVAC control module, typically found behind the dashboard.
    2. Remove any trim panels or covers as necessary to access the module.
    3. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the module.
    4. Remove screws or bolts securing the module and take it out.
    5. Install the new HVAC control module and secure it with screws or bolts.
    6. Reconnect the electrical connectors and replace trim panels.
3. Replace Blower Motor (if necessary)
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Access the blower motor located under the dashboard on the passenger side.
    2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor.
    3. Remove screws or bolts securing the blower motor.
    4. Take out the blower motor and replace it with a new one.
    5. Reinstall screws or bolts and reconnect the electrical connector.
4. Recharge AC System (if low refrigerant)
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Connect a refrigerant gauge set to the AC service ports.
    2. Check the low and high-pressure readings to determine if refrigerant is low.
    3. If low, add the appropriate type of refrigerant (R-134a) until reaching the correct pressure.
    4. Monitor the system for proper operation after recharging.
