Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools and parts before starting the repair.
  • Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to prevent electrical shorts.
2. Clean the Throttle Body
  • Remove the air intake duct connected to the throttle body.
  • Use throttle body cleaner and a soft cloth to clean the throttle plate and inside of the throttle body.
  • Reinstall the air intake duct securely.
3. Inspect and Clean the MAF Sensor
  • Locate the MAF sensor in the air intake system.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector and unscrew the MAF sensor from the housing.
  • Use MAF sensor cleaner to gently clean the sensor elements. Do not touch them with fingers or tools.
  • Reinstall the MAF sensor and reconnect the electrical connector.
4. Check and Clean the IAC Valve
  • Locate the IAC valve near the throttle body (exact location may vary).
  • Remove the electrical connector and bolts securing the IAC valve.
  • Clean the IAC valve with throttle body cleaner and a soft brush if necessary.
  • Reinstall the IAC valve and reconnect the electrical connector.
5. Test Fuel Pressure
  • Connect the fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail’s test port.
  • Turn the ignition on (do not start) to check the fuel pressure reading. It should be within the manufacturer's specified range.
