Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: OBD-II scanner (if needed), new battery (if applicable), and the vehicle owner's manual.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe location and that all doors are closed.
2. Replace the Key Fob Battery
  1. Open the key fob using a small flathead screwdriver or a similar tool.
  2. Remove the old battery and replace it with a new one, ensuring correct polarity (usually positive side facing up).
  3. Reassemble the key fob securely.
3. Reprogram the Key Fob
  1. Enter Programming Mode:

    • Sit in the driver’s seat with all doors closed.
    • Insert the key into the ignition (do not start the engine).
    • Turn the key to the "ON" position (do not start the engine) and back to "OFF" five times within 10 seconds.
    • Leave the key in the "ON" position on the fifth turn.
  2. Programming the Key Fob:

    • Press any button on the key fob. The locks should cycle indicating the vehicle has entered programming mode.
    • If successful, press the button again to confirm. The locks will cycle again to indicate successful programming.
  3. Exit Programming Mode:

    • Turn the ignition key to "OFF" to exit programming mode.
    • Remove the key from the ignition.
