Solution
1. Preparation
  • Park the vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Safety warning: Disconnect the battery if working on electrical components.
2. Inspect and Replace CV Joints
  1. Lift the front of the vehicle using a jack and secure it with jack stands.
  2. Remove the front wheels using a socket set.
  3. Inspect the CV boots for any tears or leaks. If damaged, proceed with replacement.
  4. Remove the CV joint from the axle:
    • Loosen and remove the axle nut.
    • Detach the lower control arm and any suspension components obstructing the axle removal.
  5. Install the new CV joint:
    • Slide the new joint onto the axle shaft and ensure it is secured.
    • Reattach the lower control arm and tighten to manufacturer specifications (check manual for torque values).
  6. Replace the axle nut and torque to the specified value.
3. Check and Replace Wheel Bearings
  1. Remove the brake caliper and bracket to access the wheel hub.
  2. Remove the wheel hub assembly by loosening the retaining bolts.
  3. Inspect the wheel bearing for play or noise.
  4. If faulty, press out the old bearing using a bearing press and install the new bearing.
  5. Reassemble the wheel hub and brake components.
4. Inspect Suspension Components
  1. Visually inspect all suspension parts, including struts, control arms, and bushings.
  2. Replace any worn or damaged components as necessary.
