Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the vehicle battery to ensure safety during repairs.
  • Allow the vehicle to cool before working on the HVAC system.
2. Inspect Cabin Air Filter
  • Locate the cabin air filter access panel, usually found behind the glove box.
  • Remove the glove box to access the filter.
  • Take out the old cabin air filter and inspect it for debris or clogs.
  • If dirty, replace it with a new cabin air filter.
3. Test the Blower Motor
  • Reconnect the battery and turn on the ignition.
  • Set the HVAC system to the highest fan speed and check for airflow at all vent settings.
  • If no airflow is detected, proceed to replace the blower motor.
    • Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor.
    • Remove the mounting screws and take out the blower motor.
    • Install the new blower motor and reconnect the electrical connector.
4. Inspect Blend Door Actuator
  • Locate the blend door actuator, usually behind the dashboard on the HVAC housing.
  • Check for proper operation by manually moving the blend door (if accessible).
  • If faulty, disconnect the actuator and remove it from the housing.
  • Replace with a new blend door actuator and reconnect the wiring harness.
5. Check Coolant Levels
  • Open the hood and inspect the coolant reservoir.
  • Ensure the coolant level is within the recommended range.
  • If low, refill with the appropriate coolant type as specified in the owner’s manual.
