Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Park the vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on the vehicle.
2. Inspect and Replace CV Joints
  • Tools Required: Socket set, jack stands, torque wrench, CV joint boot kit (if necessary).
  • Remove the front wheel using a socket wrench.
  • Inspect the CV joint for any signs of damage or wear.
  • If the CV joint is damaged, remove the axle by unbolting the axle nut and separating it from the hub.
  • Replace the CV joint with a new one, ensuring to apply grease and replace any damaged boots.
3. Check and Replace Wheel Bearings
  • Tools Required: Bearing puller, socket set, torque wrench.
  • With the wheel removed, check for play in the wheel bearing by grabbing the wheel at 12 and 6 o'clock and shaking it.
  • If there is excessive play, remove the hub assembly and replace the wheel bearing.
  • Ensure the new bearing is properly seated and torque the retaining nut to the manufacturer's specifications.
4. Inspect and Adjust Suspension Components
  • Tools Required: Wrench set, torque wrench.
  • Check the suspension components, including control arms, bushings, and struts for any signs of wear or damage.
  • Replace any worn parts and torque all bolts to the manufacturer's specifications.
