Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: Multimeter, socket set, screwdriver set, replacement bulbs, and fuses.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and turned off with the keys removed from the ignition.
2. Check and Replace Fog Light Bulbs
  1. Open the hood and locate the fog light assembly.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the fog light bulb.
  3. Remove the bulb by twisting it counterclockwise and pulling it out.
  4. Inspect the bulb for any broken filaments; replace with a new bulb if defective.
  5. Reinstall the new bulb by inserting it into the socket and twisting it clockwise to secure it.
  6. Reconnect the electrical connector.
3. Inspect and Replace Fuse
  1. Locate the fuse box according to the owner's manual (typically under the dashboard or in the engine compartment).
  2. Remove the cover of the fuse box.
  3. Identify the fog light fuse using the diagram on the fuse box cover.
  4. Pull the fog light fuse using a fuse puller or pliers and inspect it for continuity with a multimeter.
  5. If the fuse is blown, replace it with a new fuse of the same amperage rating.
  6. Reassemble the fuse box cover.
4. Test and Replace Fog Light Relay
  1. Locate the fog light relay in the fuse box or under the dashboard (refer to the owner’s manual).
  2. Remove the relay by pulling it straight out.
  3. Test the relay using a multimeter; check for continuity between the terminals.
  4. If the relay is faulty, replace it with a new relay of the same type.
  5. Reinstall the new relay back into its socket.
