Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools:
    • Funnel (if adding fluid)
    • Clean cloth or paper towels
    • Socket set (if removing the fill plug)
  • Ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and the engine is warmed up.
2. Check Fluid Level
  • For Vehicles with Dipstick:
    1. Remove the dipstick from the tube.
    2. Wipe the dipstick clean with a lint-free cloth to avoid contamination.
    3. Reinsert the dipstick fully into the tube.
    4. Remove the dipstick again and observe the fluid level; it should be between the “Full” and “Add” marks.
  • For Vehicles without Dipstick:
    1. Use a socket set to remove the fill plug.
    2. Insert a clean finger or a dipstick into the fill hole to check if fluid is present. Fluid should be at the edge of the fill hole.
    3. If fluid is low, prepare to add fluid.
3. Add Transmission Fluid (if necessary)
  1. If low, use a funnel to add the appropriate type of transmission fluid recommended by Volkswagen (check the owner’s manual).
  2. Add fluid slowly, checking the level frequently to avoid overfilling.
  3. Replace the dipstick or fill plug securely after checking or adding fluid.
