Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, coolant funnel, torque wrench, basic hand tools (sockets, wrenches).

2. Replace Thermostat
  • Step 1: Drain coolant from the radiator using the drain plug at the bottom.
  • Step 2: Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
  • Step 3: Remove the thermostat housing bolts using a socket.
  • Step 4: Lift off the thermostat housing and remove the old thermostat.
  • Step 5: Clean the mating surfaces of the housing and engine.
  • Step 6: Install the new thermostat with the spring side facing the engine.
  • Step 7: Reattach the thermostat housing and torque the bolts to the manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Step 8: Refill the cooling system with the appropriate coolant mixture.
