Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and materials.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the engine is warm (operating temperature).
2. Accessing the Transmission Dipstick or Fill Plug
  • Tools Required: Socket set, funnel (if adding fluid).
  • If your model has a dipstick, locate it near the back of the engine bay.
  • If it has no dipstick, locate the transmission fill plug on the side of the transmission.
3. Checking the Fluid Level
  • For Dipstick:

    • Pull the dipstick out and wipe it clean with a lint-free cloth.
    • Reinsert the dipstick fully and pull it out again to check the level against the marked indicators.
    • If the level is low, add the appropriate transmission fluid through the dipstick tube using a funnel.
  • For Fill Plug:

    • Remove the fill plug using a socket wrench.
    • Insert a finger into the hole; fluid should be just below the edge. If fluid drips out, the level is adequate.
    • If fluid is low, add the correct type of transmission fluid through the fill hole using a funnel until it begins to flow out.
4. Reassemble
  • Replace the dipstick or fill plug securely.
  • Ensure there are no leaks around the fill plug area if it was removed.
