Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather required tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and secured with wheel chocks.
  • Disconnect the battery for safety.
2. Raise the Vehicle
  • Use a jack to lift the vehicle and secure it on jack stands.
  • Remove the wheel associated with the suspected bearing issue using a socket set.
3. Remove the Brake Caliper and Rotor
  • Tools Required: Torque wrench, socket set.
  • Remove the caliper bolts and securely hang the caliper using a bungee cord or wire (do not let it dangle).
  • Remove the brake rotor.
4. Remove the Wheel Hub Assembly
  • Tools Required: Impact wrench, bearing puller set.
  • Remove the retaining nut or bolts securing the wheel hub.
  • Use a bearing puller to extract the wheel hub from the knuckle.
5. Inspect and Replace
  • Inspect the wheel bearing for wear or damage.
  • If necessary, press out the old bearing and press in the new bearing using a hydraulic press.
  • Clean the hub assembly and apply grease to new bearings as required.
6. Reassembly
  • Reinstall the wheel hub and secure it with the retaining nut/bolts to the manufacturer's torque specifications.
  • Reinstall the brake rotor and caliper.
  • Reattach the wheel and lower the vehicle back to the ground.
