Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is cool.
  • Place the vehicle in "Park" (automatic) or "Neutral" (manual) and engage the parking brake.

Tools Required:

  • Oil filter wrench
  • Socket set
  • Oil drain pan
  • Funnel
  • Torque wrench
  • Rags or paper towels
2. Drain Old Oil
  • Step 1: Locate the oil drain plug under the vehicle.
  • Step 2: Place the oil drain pan under the drain plug.
  • Step 3: Using the socket set, remove the oil drain plug and allow the old oil to completely drain into the pan.
  • Step 4: Once drained, clean the drain plug and replace it, tightening to the manufacturer’s specified torque (typically 20-25 Nm).
3. Replace Oil Filter
  • Step 1: Use the oil filter wrench to remove the old oil filter, turning it counterclockwise.
  • Step 2: Before installing the new filter, apply a small amount of new oil to the gasket of the new oil filter to ensure a good seal.
  • Step 3: Install the new oil filter by hand, turning it clockwise until snug (do not overtighten).
4. Add New Oil
  • Step 1: Open the hood and locate the oil filler cap on top of the engine.
  • Step 2: Remove the oil filler cap and use the funnel to pour in the recommended amount of new oil (consult owner's manual for specific capacity, typically 4.5 to 5.5 liters depending on the engine).
  • Step 3: Replace the oil filler cap securely.
5. Check Oil Level
  • Step 1: Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes to circulate the new oil.
  • Step 2: Turn off the engine and wait a minute, then check the oil level with the dipstick.
  • Step 3: Add more oil if necessary to reach the optimal level.
