Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts for the replacement.
  • Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to prevent electrical shock.
  • Relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and running the engine until it stalls.
2. Remove Engine Cover
  • Use a socket set to remove bolts securing the engine cover.
  • Carefully lift the cover off and place it aside.
3. Remove Fuel Rail
  • Disconnect the fuel line from the fuel rail using a fuel line disconnect tool.
  • Unplug the electrical connectors from each fuel injector.
  • Unscrew the bolts securing the fuel rail to the intake manifold using a socket wrench.
  • Gently lift the fuel rail off the manifold, taking care not to damage the injectors.
4. Replace Fuel Injectors
  • Remove the old fuel injectors from the fuel rail by pulling them straight out.
  • Lubricate the O-rings of the new injectors with clean engine oil.
  • Insert the new injectors into the fuel rail until they are fully seated.
5. Reinstall Fuel Rail
  • Position the fuel rail with the new injectors back onto the intake manifold.
  • Secure the fuel rail with the bolts and torque to manufacturer specifications (typically around 10-15 Nm).
  • Reconnect the electrical connectors to each fuel injector.
  • Reattach the fuel line to the fuel rail and ensure it is securely fastened.
6. Reassemble Engine Components
  • Place the engine cover back on and secure it with bolts.
  • Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
7. Test the System
  • Turn the ignition to the "ON" position to prime the fuel system and check for leaks.
  • Start the engine and observe for proper operation.
