Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety during repairs.
2. Inspect and Replace Fuel Filter
  • Locate the fuel filter (usually near the fuel tank).
  • Use a socket set to remove the fuel filter and any associated clips.
  • Install the new fuel filter by reversing the removal steps, ensuring correct orientation.
  • Reconnect the battery.
3. Inspect and Replace Spark Plugs
  • Remove the ignition coils using a socket set.
  • Unscrew and remove the old spark plugs with a spark plug socket.
  • Inspect and replace with new spark plugs, ensuring the gap is set to manufacturer specifications (typically 0.028 - 0.032 inches).
  • Reinstall the ignition coils.
4. Clean Throttle Body
  • Remove the air intake duct connecting to the throttle body using a screwdriver.
  • Spray throttle body cleaner onto a clean cloth and wipe the inside of the throttle body to remove carbon deposits.
  • Reattach the air intake duct securely.
5. Test and Adjust Idle
  • Start the engine and allow it to reach normal operating temperature.
  • If the idle is rough, adjust the idle speed using the throttle body adjustment screw according to manufacturer specifications (if applicable).
