1. Preparation

• Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, multimeter, socket set, fuel pressure gauge, safety goggles, gloves.
• Safely park the vehicle on a level surface and ensure the engine is cool.
• Disconnect the battery to avoid electrical shocks.

2. Remove the Fuel Pump

1. Relieve the fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and starting the engine until it stalls.
2. Disconnect the battery terminals.
3. Access the fuel pump by removing the rear seat or trunk cover (depending on model).
4. Disconnect the fuel lines from the pump, using line wrenches to avoid damaging them.
5. Unplug the electrical connector from the fuel pump.
6. Remove the retaining ring or bolts securing the pump module and gently lift the fuel pump out of the tank.

3. Inspect and Replace

1. Inspect the fuel pump for signs of wear or damage (e.g., corrosion, cracks).
2. Check the fuel filter for clogs and replace if necessary.
3. If the pump is faulty, replace it with a new OEM or high-quality aftermarket pump.
