1. Preparation

2. Inspect and Replace Power Steering Fluid

  • Remove the power steering fluid reservoir cap.

  • If the fluid is dark or contaminated, completely drain and replace it:
    • Place a drain pan under the power steering pump.
    • Disconnect the return hose from the pump and allow fluid to drain.
    • Reconnect the return hose, fill the reservoir with new fluid, and turn the steering wheel from lock to lock to purge air.
3. Inspect and Replace Power Steering Pump (if necessary)
